Primary School Work

Tania and a team of Session Workers, together with volunteers, work with youth workers to provide really worthwhile and popular assemblies and clubs, activities, lessons and special events all year round.

We offer local primary schools:

  • Assemblies based on Christian ethics - interactive, musical, fun and fulfilling OfStEd's criteria for collective worship
  • RE lessons tailored to meet your learners' needs
  • Hugely popular breakfast, lunchtime or afterschool clubs
  • Support, training or resources for teachers
  • Special events: including . . .
    • The Christmas Gift - an annual event which takes Newbury's school children into churches to teach them the real meaning of Christmas. Each year we have around 500 children visiting 10 venues across the Newbury area.
    • Easter Eggsplored - an interactive presentation about the meaning of Easter
    • Transition sessions & assemblies from KS2 to KS3: It's Your Move!

Please email for more information, an informal chat or a meeting about how COINS can provide the service or resource to meet your schools needs.
